Ripple Fiber, a North Carolina-based fiber provider, has acquired BridgeNET Fiber to expand its services into Statesville, where BridgeNET is headquartered. The acquisition is expected to add 18,000 passings but lacks specific timelines or financial details. BridgeNET's founder, Taylor Brown, will manage Ripple’s Statesville network, continuing to employ BridgeNET staff. Ripple's CEO Greg Wilson highlighted BridgeNET's successful track record in residential connection and local engagement. The acquisition aims to improve internet access for residents, further supporting Ripple's growth and previous acquisitions in the region.
Since launching, BridgeNET has passed over 3,000 homes, built real momentum, and proved they can stack up to competitors in the region on quality and pace. They have kept their customers close and executed their own installations, while remaining grounded in local partnerships. BridgeNET has established a reputation to be proud of.
As a result of this acquisition, Statesville residents will get the fiber internet they deserve, supporting BridgeNET's mission to expand digital access across the community. We're eager to introduce Ripple Fiber to current and future customers, with the local support of Taylor and his team.
