Robin Williams’ former San Francisco mansion has sold for $18.1 million, less than a year after his ex-wife, Marsha Garces Williams, listed it for $25 million. After 30 years of residence and raising their children there, Marsha decided to downsize as the kids had moved out. Despite the substantial price drop, the home's stunning views and architectural beauty likely attracted the buyer, who remains anonymous. Originally built in 1926, the property underwent major updates in the early '90s, preserving its original character while modernizing essential systems.
It's a beautiful, happy house, we had many, many fantastic years of fun and play and joy there.
However, they took great pains to preserve the rare and valuable building materials used in 1926, which are simply no longer available in modern homes.
