The Fillmore Safeway is selling its land to Align Real Estate and closing, leaving the neighborhood without a grocery store, pharmacy or bank. We can't force them to stay.
I will explore EVERY option to keep a grocery store in the neighborhood - working with the developer to keep a grocery store on the ground floor, building another site nearby, holding regular farmers markets during construction. We cannot leave the Fillmore without food.
