A magnitude 3.7 earthquake struck the Peninsula early Friday according to the U.S. Geological Survey, centered about 3.1 miles northwest off the coast of San Francisco.
The quake occurred approximately 5 miles below the surface and about 2 miles offshore, recorded at 7:02 a.m. with no immediate reports of damage.
