A reality TV personality said she would not support a reality star for mayor of Los Angeles. She made the point while attending the American Music Awards red carpet and avoided naming her target directly, though it was widely understood to refer to Spencer Pratt, the only reality star in the race. Pratt has gained poll traction by attacking incumbent Mayor Karen Bass over the city’s handling of the Palisades fire, after Pratt and his wife lost a home. The personality compared the situation to a familiar pattern of unqualified reality candidates gaining power. She suggested voters consider a candidate with prior mayoral experience, referencing Matt Mahan, who is running in the primary.
