Questions have swirled around who funded the contentious Congressional District 16 recount. Most funding came from allies of former San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo.
Former New York City mayor and billionaire philanthropist Michael Bloomberg was the largest donor, contributing $500,000 to the Super PAC Count the Vote.
In addition to Neighbors for Results, the Super PAC had five more donors including Ripple co-founder Christian Larsen, totaling $169,500 in contributions aside from the initial $102,000 transferred.
