An employee of San Francisco's Fairmont Hotel was arrested for bringing a loaded gun to work while Vice President Kamala Harris was staying there.
The San Francisco police confirmed that magnetometers set up by the Secret Service detected the firearm early Tuesday morning, leading to the employee's arrest.
Authorities revealed that the employee had recently relocated from Texas, where concealed carry is allowed, and had a pending arrest warrant from Tarrant County.
Despite the firearm incident, the Secret Service confirmed that Vice President Harris was neither a target nor under any threats during her stay.
