Chyanne Chen holds a narrow lead in the District 11 supervisor race, with 11,971 votes compared to Michael Lai's 11,781, a margin of just 90 votes as of the latest count.
The late surge of votes Chen experienced is largely attributed to transfers from third-place finisher Ernest EJ Jones, significantly boosting her count in the district.
San Francisco Elections Director John Arntz clarified that out of the 3,300 outstanding ballots, the vast majority are from other districts, suggesting Chen's lead may not be affected.
With provisional ballots primarily located outside District 11, the current results suggest that Chyanne Chen's position in the race may remain stable in the coming days.
