Shahin Gheblehshenas, co-owner of Happy Happy Daycare, was found not guilty of felony child endangerment after the drowning of two toddlers. Her daughter, Nina Fathizadeh, pleaded guilty and faces over 20 years in prison. On the day of the incident, the toddlers slipped through a propped-open gate to a pool while left unsupervised. Investigators noted that Gheblehshenas left the children in Fathizadeh's care while she visited another daycare. Only one toddler survived the incident, raising serious concerns about the daycare's safety practices.
