"After about five days of deliberations, following the 16-week trial, a Santa Clara County jury has found 50-year-old Shannon O'Connor guilty of at least 19 of the counts she was charged with. As ABC 7 reports as of 11:30 am, there were guilty verdicts in 19 of 20 counts that had been read, and counting."
"O'Connor was charged with 63 counts (20 felony, 43 misdemeanor) including furnishing alcohol to children, child endangerment, dissuading a witness, and sexual offenses—including non-consensual sexual acts among, and annoying and molesting a child—stemming from a series of clandestine parties she either threw or facilitated at her Los Gatos mansion and at least one vacation rental five and six years ago."
"At these parties, 14- and 15-year-old boys and girls, including her son, reportedly drank copious amounts of beer and other alcohol and engaged in sexual activity, which the prosecution and several witnesses said was sometimes coerced and encouraged by O'Connor. The parties, which sometimes occurred late at night, were thrown without the knowledge of O'Connor's husband."
A Santa Clara County jury found 50-year-old Shannon O'Connor guilty of at least 19 of 20 counts after five days of deliberation in a 16-week trial. O'Connor was convicted of 16 counts of child endangerment, one count of dissuading a witness, and two counts of sexual penetration while victims were intoxicated. She was charged with 63 total counts stemming from clandestine parties at her Los Gatos mansion and vacation rentals five to six years ago. At these parties, 14- and 15-year-old minors, including her son, consumed alcohol and engaged in sexual activity that prosecution witnesses testified was sometimes coerced and encouraged by O'Connor. Parents initially trusted O'Connor with their children, but later discovered evidence she encouraged minors to lie about the parties.
