In celebration of Bruce Willis' 70th birthday, his daughter Scout shared an emotional tribute on Instagram expressing deep gratitude for his influence on her life, especially amid his frontotemporal dementia diagnosis. Scout reflected on the connection between her music and her father's legacy, highlighting how his love for life inspired her own. She emphasized the nonlinear nature of grief and love, sharing both her pain and joy in her father's presence. Alongside her heartfelt words, she posted a humorous video of Bruce rejecting the camera, showcasing their playful bond.
"I cried a lot this morning, because I'm a baddie and grief is non linear and I am so full of love. Grief it's the price I pay to get to feel this depth of love and I would never give my grief away," she wrote.
"Every time I smirk and audaciously ask for more and every time I feel so f------ insatiable that I want to devour the entire world because I am so GODDAMN in love with life, I am my father's child," she wrote.
"Every day I thank the Gods that 50% of my DNA is from him. The music I make, the magic I create, and the magnetic mischief I incite, that's my father's legacy alive in the world," she wrote.
Scout Willis also included a funny video of the 'Die Hard' franchise star, shot in 2014, that showed him objecting to being filmed. 'I'm not your little dancing monkey,' the actor joked after covering the camera with his hand.
