Pali High's football stadium burned. Their Hollywood Bowl graduation is bittersweet
Briefly

Graduating seniors from Palisades Charter High School relocated their graduation to the Hollywood Bowl after the January Palisades fire severely damaged their school. The ceremony, which consisted of 740 seniors, served as a testament to their resilience amidst adversity. Despite feeling nostalgic about their usual venue, students expressed gratitude for the opportunity to graduate in a historic location. Speakers at the event, including Pali alum Steve Kerr, acknowledged the challenges faced by the students, while California Governor Gavin Newsom delivered a message encouraging their future endeavors.
"There's just been so many memories - so not being able to finish out the four years of high school on that field is definitely sad, but..."
"I can't even imagine the adversity you faced - obviously the fires in January that brought us here...although this is a pretty nice alternative."
