Nine years later, still no answers for Bay Area teen kidnapped on her way to school

James Pinson shares the heart-wrenching impact of not seeing his daughter, Pearl Pinson, for 3,287 days since her kidnapping on May 25, 2016. Kidnapped by an armed assailant, Pearl's case remains unsolved following the death of her kidnapper the next day. Each year, attendees gather to honor Pearl's memory and amplify awareness of her case. Although this year's vigil was smaller in size, the sentiment persists among supporters who vow to keep her memory alive, emphasizing the critical need for solidarity and support for families affected by such tragedies.
It gets a little harder every single day," says Pearl Pinson's father, walking down the pedestrian walkway over Interstate 780. "I think about her as I much as I can.
The reason this is important is because I want to show my support for the family. How much help would you want if it was your own child?"
Each year on May 25, a group gathers near the bridge to pay respects to Pearl and to raise awareness on her case.
I've grown close to the family and when I spoke with Rose (Pearl's sister) I told her that I will stand with her.
