The Miami Grand Prix is set to remain a staple event through 2041, as confirmed by managing partner Tom Garfinkel. Attendance has rebounded following a dip, influenced partly by Max Verstappen's performance. Despite discussions around moving the event downtown or transitioning to night races, Garfinkel stated such plans are not contemplated due to logistical issues. There's significant investment in the current campus, and there's a consideration for permanent structures to address parking needs for events, securing the race's geographic stability.
Moving downtown will not happen. We're here to stay. There's a lot of reasons why downtown didn't make sense when we first got into this, and those reasons still exist.
This year's total attendance bumped back up after last year's small decrease, which might have been partially blamed on world champion Max Verstappen's run of dominance in 2023 and 2024.
