A mass shooting in Shreveport, Louisiana, left eight children dead, including seven of the shooter's children. The shooter, Shamar Elkins, was shot by police and died. Christina Snow, the mother of three children, is recovering in the hospital with a bullet lodged in her face. Another victim, Shaneiqua Pugh, is in critical condition. Elkins had a history of mental health issues and was involved in a domestic dispute with Pugh. Federal authorities arrested a man related to the firearm used in the incident.
