Mark Rober, Disney team up to make young leukemia survivor's dream come true
""We just noticed he was getting unexplained fevers, here and there," said Brendan's father, Deric Ma. "We took him to, like, many doctors.""
""And it, you know, was really important, especially all through last year when he had ups and downs," said Brendan's mom, Jacqueline Tse. "To keep your eye on the prize, Brendan, you have to get better.""
""Every single day we are grateful," Tse said. "We don't take a day for granted anymore. Our perspective on life, on...""
Brendan faced a rare and aggressive form of leukemia after experiencing unexplained fevers. His parents sought medical help, and after a difficult journey, his mother became his bone marrow donor. Inspired by Mark Rober's science videos during hospital stays, Brendan's mother contacted Disney and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Brendan's wish to meet Rober was granted, and he enjoyed a trip to Disneyland. Now, he is thriving, engaging in activities like swimming and video games, and his family cherishes each day together.
