Eight children aged three to eleven were killed in Shreveport during a violent domestic incident involving Shamar Elkins, who shot them before being killed by police. The children included seven of Elkins's own. A total of 11 people were shot, including two women in critical condition. The incident stemmed from a domestic dispute between Elkins and his wife, Shaneiqua Pugh. Investigators confirmed the shooting was a domestic case, and the Louisiana state police are investigating the officers' involvement in Elkins's death.
