Tiffany Slaton, a Georgia woman, went missing for three weeks while hiking in California's Sierra Nevada mountains. Thankfully, she discovered an unlocked cabin at a closed resort, allowing her to survive during her ordeal. Christopher Gutierrez, the resort owner, was taken aback to find her when he arrived to prepare for reopening. Slaton survived primarily on leeks until Gutierrez provided her with food. She was reported missing by her parents, with her last known sighting being on April 24, but was rescued just prior to her 28th birthday after enduring harsh conditions.
It was a pretty surreal moment, and that's when I realized who this was.
The first thing she saw was a cabin, and she held up in the cabin overnight ... this girl was saved for the reason.
