Los Gatos High School therapist receives statewide recognition

Amrita Vu, the lead therapist at Los Gatos High School, was honored as a California Classified School Employee of the Year after being recognized by the Santa Clara County Office of Education. She demonstrated outstanding leadership and advocacy in promoting student mental health, significantly impacting students’ well-being through her established Wellness Center. State Superintendent Tony Thurmond will honor Vu at a luncheon in Sacramento, where she will also receive the Behavioral Health Community Heroes Award for her exceptional contributions to behavioral health support in education.
