Bríd McKenna, from Ballyminogue, Scariff and formerly of Belkelly, Ogonnelloe, died following injuries from a fatal crash in Tulla on Monday, May 25. She was in her 80s and passed away on Tuesday. Her husband Sean died in March and was well known in the GAA community as a hurling craftsman. Bríd was also predeceased by her parents Mick and Annie. She is survived by her son Mark, daughters Siobhan and Claire, and extended family including grandchildren, siblings, and a wide circle of friends. Gardaí continue to appeal for witnesses and CCTV footage regarding the crash on the R352 at about 3.30pm involving two cars. A female driver in her 50s was taken to University Hospital Limerick with serious injuries. The road has reopened after forensic investigation and examination. Reposing and funeral arrangements are scheduled in Scariff, with burial in Moynoe Cemetery, and donations may be made to Raheen Community Hospital.

"Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses and CCTV footage of the crash, which occurred on the R352 at around 3.30pm on Monday and it involved two cars. A female driver of one of the cars, aged in her 50s, was also taken to University Hospital Limerick for treatment of serious injuries. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators attended the scene and an examination has taken place. The road has since reopened."
