Dorothy (Dottie) Hope Stivers, who passed away at 92, was an accomplished mother and community volunteer. Born in 1932, she earned a Master’s in Chemistry from Wellesley. After the tragic loss of her husband Ed in a plane crash in 1972, Dottie dedicated her life to raising her four children, supported by family and friends. She cherished family adventures, was a puzzle enthusiast, actively involved in community activities, and successfully transitioned to a tax preparer after her children grew up.
Dottie was born May 17, 1932, in Bratenahl, Ohio, and graduated from Laurel School, went on to earn a Master's Degree in Chemistry from Wellesley College.
Tragedy struck when Dottie's husband Ed was killed in a plane crash in 1972, leading her to raise their four children alone with support from family.
Dottie was an active community volunteer, engaging in her children's activities, and later became an Enrolled Agent preparing income taxes, enjoying an active social life.
