'Dad, I'm alive': Missing Georgia woman found safe in remote California cabin
Briefly

Tiffany Slaton, a 27-year-old woman from Georgia, who went missing during a solo camping trip in Fresno County, California, has been found safe near Lake Edison after a month-long search. Her family expressed immense relief and joy upon hearing the news, as they had not been in contact since she was last seen on April 24. Slaton survived harsh conditions including a blizzard, living off leeks, until being discovered by the owner of Vermilion Valley Resort, who found her seeking refuge in one of his unlocked cabins.
I can't wait to see and hug her, Tiffany's mom, Fredrina, said.
She pops out, didn't say a word, just ran up, and all she wanted was a hug, Gutierrez recalled.
Bobby was crying, and I didn't know what was going on, and I just grabbed somebody and said, 'Can I hug you?' Fredrina added.
It's unbelievable. She survived solely, I want to say from what I remember her saying, solely off of leeks, he said.
