Campbell schools get funding to stage shows at Heritage Theatre
Briefly

Friends of the Heritage Theatre are launching a funding initiative to support local schools with up to $10,000 to stage productions during the 2025-26 season. The program aims to enhance student experience by providing financial support to cover rental fees and production costs, as well as establishing a $5,000 scholarship fund. Meanwhile, Stanford Blood Center is temporarily closing its South Bay Donation Center for repairs, opening a temporary platelet donation site and increasing mobile blood drives to sustain donations during this period.
Martha de Ojeda of the Campbell Union School District emphasized that this funding initiative will provide students with an exceptional opportunity to perform on a professional stage, enhancing their educational experience.
Samantha Ince, president of the Friends group, highlighted that the program aims to reach local youth, especially those who might not otherwise experience the rich musical culture at the historic Heritage Theatre.
The Friends of the Heritage Theatre are committed to fostering local talent by funding up to $10,000 to assist schools like Rolling Hills Middle School in staging productions this season.
With the closure of the South Bay Donation Center for repairs, the Stanford Blood Center is taking steps to ensure community blood and platelet donation continues robustly through temporary and mobile donation drives.
