Three sisters in Washington—Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia, 5—were found dead after a visitation with their father, Travis Decker. He is wanted on three counts of first-degree murder and kidnapping. Their mother reported them missing when they failed to return home. Despite extensive searches and pleas for their safety, police confirmed their deaths. Authorities warn Decker, a former military member, may be dangerous. The community is expressing deep condolences to the family during this tragic time.
"We want to express our sincere and deep heartfelt condolences to the family at this time," the WPD said in a statement.
"I just want the girls back home safe and sound - that is the most important thing to me. I am concerned about the safety and wellbeing of my girls and their dad," Whitney Decker said.
"This is an unimaginable situation. I am pleading for everyone to look out for them," she added.
The WPD is asking for help in locating Travis Decker, but warns that he "may pose a significant risk" if approached.
