The best and worst of Outside Lands 2025
Briefly

Outside Lands concluded with a mix of notable performances and some frustrations. Undercard breakout Doechii won unanimous acclaim, while headliners Beck and Tyler, The Creator elicited mixed feelings. The festival also showcased memorable moments, such as Doja Cat's engaging set enhanced by an extended stage. Water prices were notably higher than expected, with a $5 water bottle price increased to $6.50 at certain stands. Festival attendees experienced an array of performances, including Nourished by Time, which emphasized simplicity.
The unanimous winner of the weekend was undercard breakout Doechii, whereas we had conflicted thoughts on the headlining talent like Beck and Tyler, The Creator.
The price of water was particularly egregious this year to see that the $5 price on the menu at the Bun Mee food stand had been crossed out and replaced with $6.50.
Doja Cat's headlining set featured an extended stage which allowed earlier bands to engage with the crowd, exemplified by Mannequin Pussy's Marisa Dabice strutting the boards.
Nourished by Time was a masterclass in simplicity resonating deeply with the audience, showing that less can indeed be more in a festival setting.
