The summer concert series in Campbell is resuming after a cancellation last year due to downtown construction. The series starts on July 10, featuring live music from local cover bands playing classic 1980s hits. These weekly concerts will continue every Thursday until August 28, drawing significant crowds to the area, which historically boosts local business. The construction projects are expected to finish soon, coinciding with this community event aimed at revitalizing downtown traffic after a year of disruption.

Nathan Donato-Weinstein, economic development manager, said the series' return could help build on Campbell's economic development plan as music lovers flood downtown streets again.
Last year concert-goers were unable to participate because of ongoing construction at the new library and police headquarters.
Economic spillover of events is real. Events like this absolutely do drive foot traffic, especially in a very compact downtown like Campbell.
