The Las Vegas Sphere has announced immersive screenings including an adaptation of 'The Wizard of Oz,' set to open on August 28, 2025. The project, produced in collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, features a noteworthy creative team, including producer Jane Rosenthal and visual effects artist Ben Grossmann. Additionally, an action documentary titled 'From the Edge,' showcasing extreme sports athletes, is slated for a 2026 release, utilizing Sphere Entertainment's advanced camera system. The Sphere aims to provide diverse experiences that capitalize on its immersive technology.

The Wizard of Oz at Sphere is set to open on August 28th, 2025, featuring a collaboration with Warner Bros. Discovery, Google, and Magnopus.
Filming is underway in Jordan, Dubai, Switzerland, the Bahamas, Austin, Las Vegas, and Maui, with extreme sports athletes using Sphere's Big Sky camera system.
In August 2024, Sphere was in talks with Warner Bros. Discovery for The Wizard of Oz adaptation, which was expected to cost $80 million.
