Mosswood Meltdown adds a third day in 2026, introducing a large pre-party on Friday, July 17, before the regular weekend festival on July 18–19. The Friday night pre-party will be headlined by Pavement, the Stockton-born lo-fi indie-rock band fronted by Stephen Malkmus, which originally ran from 1989 to 1999 and reunited most recently in 2022. Also performing are alt-rockers Wednesday and Brooklyn indie act Vivian Girls. Famed film director John Waters will host the pre-party.
