In Trader Joe's 16th annual Customer Choice Awards, the chili and lime rolled corn tortilla chips were voted the favorite item for the third consecutive year, resulting in their induction into the Product Hall of Fame. This award recognizes consistently popular products, allowing new contenders a chance. Other winners included spiced cider for best beverage and Brazil nut body butter as the top bathroom product. Notably, 'Teeny Tiny Avocados' unseated bananas for best produce this year, while the new best product category celebrated the limited Cashel blue cheese Irish potato chips.
For the third year in a row, customers have declared the chili and lime rolled corn tortilla chips their favorite overall item in the 16th annual awards.
This latest win means the Takis copycat has been inducted into the Trader Joe's Product Hall of Fame, meaning it's won so consistently that it will be taken out of the running next year.
This year, Trader Joe's also introduced a new category: best new product of 2024, with customers selecting the Cashel blue cheese Irish potato chips.
The only other deviation from last year's awards was best produce item: 'Teeny Tiny Avocados' dethroned bananas.
