Outside Lands has become a vital platform for emerging food businesses, partnering with La Cocina to spotlight local culinary talent and support small restaurants.
Tanya Kollar, the Outside Lands Food Curator, emphasized the importance of local vendors: 'We don’t bring in food vendors from outside the Bay Area. It's all about celebrating the culinary community here.'
Chef Norka Hernandez expressed gratitude for the opportunity: 'I'm thrilled to be part of Outside Lands and with La Cocina being here it's been the greatest support.'
The collaboration involved extensive preparation, as Kollar stated: 'It’s enormous preparation... making sure everybody knows their role and what we’re doing throughout the whole thing.'
