Seafood-Centric Restaurant Jacqueline Moves Into the Former La Moule Space
Briefly

Jacqueline has successfully relocated just three blocks down to 2500 SE Clinton Street, transitioning from its eight-year-long spot at Southeast 21st Avenue. With its reopening on November 9, the restaurant has embraced broader changes, including an extension of the popular $1 oyster happy hour to 4 p.m.-6 p.m. and a freshly devised tasting menu that showcases an array of seafood dishes, priced affordably at $75 per person.
With the move to its new location, Jacqueline has brought on a number of culinary talents: General manager Jonathan Staehr has returned from high-profile venues like Langbaan and Eem, chef de cuisine Jamie Wilcox previously helmed Tartuca, pastry chef Mandy Groom comes from Quaintrelle, and bar manager Vanessa Magana joins from Kann, signaling significant enhancement in the restaurant's leadership and culinary vision.
The newly renovated Jacqueline space features remnants of past establishments, including an inherited oyster bar from Maylin Chavez's Olympia Oyster Bar and ambient decor influenced by Woodsman Tavern, such as paintings and light fixtures from Castagna, blending history and culinary innovation in a fresh presentation. The transition reflects a deep commitment to both preserving the past and enhancing the dining experience for seafood enthusiasts.
The Fair Weather concept, which debuted during the COVID lockdown, will be reintroduced in the previous Jacqueline location. Chef Derek Hanson hints at a new brunch and coffee service, a modest dinner program, and event offerings, suggesting a flexible approach to dining amid the evolving landscape of the restaurant industry.
