Mi Rancho Supermarket is opening its first San Francisco location in the Bayview neighborhood at 5900 3rd St., the former site of Duc Loi's Pantry.
In 2019, the U.S. Department of Agriculture classified Bayview-Hunters Point as a food desert, leading to the opening of new grocery stores like Lucky Supermarket in 2022.
Duc Loi's Pantry and Fresh and Easy grocery stores previously failed at the 5900 3rd St. location after short periods of operation.
