Last Saturday at Ocean Beach, beachgoers gathered to create intricate sand art, transforming the typical vista into a vibrant exhibit. They formed spirals, peace signs, and sunrays, all centered around the message "Be Kind." As individuals navigated the patterns, they disrupted the temporary art, highlighting its fleeting nature. Notably, a young usher, KaviAmador, demonstrated an impressive presence, guiding attendees while his father, Andrés Amador, led the artistic effort. Amador represents a blend of environmental consciousness and a disdain for tech culture, shaping the unique spirit of this event.
The vibe last Saturday was crop circle. A mass of people congregated on the beach with rakes in hand, creating some of the best and most organized sand art I've ever seen.
Spirals, peace signs, and sunrays stretched across the shore, anchored by a simple message: 'Be Kind.' Beachgoers wove through the designs, careful but inevitably disruptive, because this was art meant to be temporary.
