The Mission Merchants Association organized the Summer Sip and Stroll wine walk to promote local businesses in the Mission District. Stretching along Mission Street, the event featured an array of beverage offerings curated by Breakthru Beverage California’s Nandini Novarr. With nearly 300 attendees, the event aimed to deepen community ties while showcasing the diverse shops and eateries in the area. Attendees praised the unique venue experience that differed from typical bar crawls, highlighting an overall enjoyable atmosphere.
The new Summer Sip and Stroll is more than just a fun evening out - it's part of an ongoing effort to uplift small businesses in the Mission District.
By transforming a stretch of Mission Street into a walkable tasting experience, the association aims to deepen community ties and spotlight the diverse shops, galleries and eateries that define the area.
Nearly 300 people RSVP'd to the July 17 event - a turnout that exceeded expectations, according to Novarr.
"I like that [the venues] were not just bars and it was not just a bar crawl. Each place is a different environment that was cool to look at."
