The Kon-Tiki, after announcing financial struggles, will close post-service on December 22, despite a brief business resurgence.
Owners of The Kon-Tiki, Matt Reagan and Christ Aivaliotis, reported that despite a surge in customers, it wasn’t enough to continue into 2025.
The Kon-Tiki, located in downtown Oakland, was known for its rum cocktails and signature smash burger, but struggled to remain profitable.
