The 18th annual Sin City Classic Sports Festival brought together over 10,000 athletes to Las Vegas, celebrating diversity through sports and friendship from January 16-20. Held at the Flamingo Hotel, the event featured 23 sports, including new martial arts competitions. Co-executive director Jason Peplinski highlighted the festival as a space for the LGBTQ+ community to bond and celebrate authenticity. Founded in 2008, the festival aims to provide a safe, competitive environment for LGBTQ+ athletes, reaffirming its commitment to inclusivity and joy within sporting spaces, especially over the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend.
The event is a place where the LGBTQ+ community can 'at least for the weekend, leave our cares behind, bond with our fellow athletes, and celebrate living authentically.'
More than 10,000 athletes and allies from around the world gathered for four days of sport and friendship at the 18th annual Sin City Classic Sports Festival.
