Moscow launched more than 200 missiles and drones across a wide swath of Ukraine, in what Volodymyr Zelensky described as one of the largest strikes of the war. The situation has escalated with four casualties and over 30 injuries reported.
Zelensky stated, 'Like most previous Russian strikes, this one is just as vile, targeting critical civilian infrastructure. There is a lot of damage in the energy sector, but crews are repairing the damage.' The severity of the attack has forced many residents to seek shelter in basements and subways.
The attacks come amid Ukraine's cross-border incursion into southern Russia, marking the first invasion on Russian soil since World War II. While this offensive has slowed, Zelensky claimed that Ukrainian forces have slightly advanced and taken control of two more settlements.
