The Lovemakers came into existence when members Scott Blonde and Lisa Light were ejected from their previous band for their distracting romance during rehearsal. Unable to contain their chemistry and passion for performing, they launched their own group that embodied both their love for each other and an electrifying new wave/electropop sound. Their music is described as sexy, fuzzy, and perfect for dancing, aligning with the vibe of their relationship. Their upcoming album release party, 'Let's be friends,' will take place at The Ritz in San Jose, showcasing their dynamic artistry and fun spirit.
Legend has it Scott Blonde and Lisa Light were kicked out of Applesaucer, the group they'd been playing with, when they wouldn't, or perhaps couldn't, stop making out during band practice.
With their fondness for one another and a need to keep storming stages, what choice did they have but to create their own band, one that would allow for face sucking during rehearsals?
The new wave/electropop result is sexy, fuzzy, and very danceable. It'd probably be good music to make out to, as well.
The Lovemakers' 'Let's be friends' album release party is scheduled on Thu, 8pm, $22-$25 at The Ritz, San Jose.
