"Normally admission is $10, but on the first Wednesday of every month, admission is free for everyone, thanks to a grant from the Bob Ross Foundation. Free tickets are not available for reservation online on free days; all visitors will be welcomed to the museum as long as there is capacity on a first-come, first-served basis. The GLBT Historical Society Museum in San Francisco's Castro District is the first full-scale, stand-alone museum dedicated to GLBT history and celebrates 100 years of local queer history through exhibitions and programming. Regular admission is $10, with free admission for all on the first Wednesday of each month funded by a Bob Ross Foundation grant; free entry on those days is offered on a first-come, first-served basis without online reservations. Children 12 and under, SNAP EBT and Medi-Cal cardholders (plus three guests) receive free admission through Museums for All by presenting card and valid ID.
