SF Pride weekend closes with rainbow lasers lighting up city, message of hope in fight for equality
Briefly

San Francisco Pride weekend is one of the largest LGBTQ events globally, drawing millions to celebrate community and equality. The festivities concluded with vibrant rainbow lasers illuminating Market Street, highlighting the event's joy and significance. Many attendees reflected on the importance of remembering Pride's roots in protest, emphasizing that the celebration is also a fight for ongoing rights. With rising opposition to LGBTQ+ rights, attendees expressed the need for unity and support, reminding others of their place in the struggle for dignity and acceptance.
This is magnificent! This is community-orientated. Fun to see everybody out here, be a part of the rainbow lights, helping them refract with these bubbles. It's just amazing. It really fills my heart.
The parade was amazing. Security was good. Just great as a whole.
I think it's important to remember that Pride started as a protest, and to always hold that in your mind. It's not all about fun. It's fighting for our rights.
We need to come out and support our allies and communities right now, to let them know that we belong here. And that their dignity and their lives matter.
