In celebration of Pride Month, Assemblymember Alex Lee and Marty Kludjian recognized six individuals and an organization for their outstanding contributions to the LGBTQ+ community in Assembly District 24. The honorees included Malaya Arevalo, Yudy Deng, and Adrienne Keel, who have dedicated their work to healthcare access, public-private partnerships for inclusion, and LGBTQ+ youth advocacy, respectively. Additionally, Drew Lloyd and Todd Isaacson were acknowledged for their efforts in civil liberties advocacy and community programming. "Following a 16-year marriage, Deng came out, and her personal journey fueled her passion for building meaningful public-private partnerships that enhance inclusion, equity and cultural connections."
"Since 2018, [Keel] has led the LGBTQ+ Youth Space and has been awarded two Community Hero Awards in Santa Clara County for her work."
