Jasmine Rice LaBeija is the first drag performer to reach the finals of Britain's Got Talent, captivating judges and audiences with her powerful operatic performances. Known for her stunning self-made costumes, Jasmine first stunned the judges with Puccini’s "Nessun dorma" and later secured a place in the finals with her rendition of "Never Enough," earning the Golden Buzzer from Bruno Tonioli. Despite battling nerves and allergies before the grand finale, she emphasizes that her true goal has always been to showcase her artistry on a global stage rather than focusing solely on winning.
"It's just been a magical experience and this is just an unimaginable dream that's coming through real life," she tells PinkNews ahead of her final performance which, she admits, she's a little "nervous" about, due to ongoing hayfever allergies.
"I definitely do want to win but I have to say that I'm not doing this just to win. I'm doing this because this has been a life goal of mine, to be on the biggest stage of the world and showcase what I have been preparing for my whole life."
