Andrew Scott recalls being hospitalised after SAG Awards incident
Briefly

Andrew Scott shared a shocking recount of his first SAG Awards experience in 2020, where he famously dealt with a painful kidney stone. Nominated for his role as a priest in 'Fleabag', Scott vividly described the moment he felt the excruciating pain during Laura Dern's acceptance speech. Though he realized what was happening, the pain was overwhelming, ultimately leading to an ambulance ride. His co-star Phoebe Waller-Bridge supported him through the ordeal. Scott returned to the SAG Awards recently, nominated again for his role in a limited series.
I was beside Phoebe [Waller-Bridge] and Laura Dern had just won Best Supporting Actress [for Marriage Story] and we were standing up for Laura. I don't know if anyone has ever experienced having a kidney stone before, but it sends you, the pain is so immediate. As Laura was speaking, I was crawling out of the thing and by the time her speech was over I was ripping off the tux and I was in one of those rooms back there, writhing around with agony.
I was aware of what was happening as it had happened before, but that didn’t make the ordeal any less 'terrifying'. Waller-Bridge was running back and forth to give me water, before I was seen by emergency medical technicians and taken away in an ambulance.
