A gay hockey player is on a mission to create an inclusive hockey culture from the inside out
Briefly

Brock McGillis, the first openly gay men's professional hockey player, is now retired but continues his advocacy work through the U.S. Shiftmakers Tour. After a successful tour in Canada, he expanded to the U.S., visiting cities like Seattle, Los Angeles, and Boston to promote inclusivity in youth hockey. McGillis emphasizes the importance of creating safe environments for all athletes and challenges young players to combat discrimination. His approach includes sharing personal experiences and engaging in discussions to foster courage and change.
