Ukrainian intelligence officials confirmed on Wednesday that North Korean soldiers, including special forces, are stationed around 30 miles from Ukraine's border amidst ongoing tensions.
According to the Financial Times, there are a few hundred special forces among 3,000 North Korean troops near the Russian-Ukrainian border in the Kurck Oblast region.
Andriy Kovalenko remarked that North Korean soldiers will be disguised in Russian uniforms and documents to blend in, reinforcing their military presence in Ukraine.
Kovalenko expressed concern that up to 12,000 North Korean troops could significantly impact Russian military strategies in the Donetsk sector, enhancing the threat to Ukraine.
