"In other words, our strategy is working," Syrskyi said, highlighting that the incursion forced Russia to redeploy forces and thwarted its planned advances in Ukraine.
According to Syrskyi, Ukrainian forces successfully captured about 386 square miles of territory from Russia in under a week, almost equivalent to what Russia has seized this year.
Syrskyi claimed that the operation aimed to create a "buffer zone" against Russian attacks and that they have largely succeeded in reducing Russia's capacity to carry out offensive maneuvers.
"Over the last six days, the enemy hasn't advanced a single meter in the Pokrovsk direction," he noted, emphasizing the operational success of Ukrainian forces in controlling the battlefield.
