Russia is currently facing a new Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region, leading President Putin to acknowledge the challenging circumstances during talks with local governors. Ukraine has mobilized mechanized battalions near the border, and while President Zelenskyy commended his troops for their efforts in Kursk, he also indicated that the humanitarian corridor proposal was met with inaction from Russia. Meanwhile, Ukraine received initial deliveries of French Mirage 2000 aircraft and Dutch F-16 fighters to bolster its military capabilities amid the escalating conflict.
Zelenskyy praised his troops for the Kursk offensive, stating, 'The occupier can and should be beaten on its territory. The Kursk operation clearly explains the meaning of the principle of peace through strength.'
Ukraine accused Moscow of indifference to its citizens' plight, asserting, 'Apparently, the Russians do not want such a humanitarian corridor, because we have not received a corresponding request from them.'
The Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov claimed, 'Russia was doing everything it could for Russian civilians in Kursk;' however, there was no public comment on a humanitarian corridor.
Ukraine announced it received its initial batch of French Mirage 2000 fighter jets alongside F-16 fighters from the Netherlands, enhancing its aerial capabilities in the conflict.
