Germany's defence minister, Boris Pistorius, announced a new NATO mission in Wiesbaden to coordinate military aid for Ukraine, aiming to ensure support remains steady despite potential political shifts.
Pistorius emphasized that NATO's assistance to Ukraine must empower the country, stating 'Our target must be to enable Ukraine to act out of a position of strength'.
Polish defence minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz reinforced the sentiment, noting that 'Europe must increase its efforts when it comes to helping Ukraine but above all – when it comes to its own security'.
In the backdrop of these military strategies, Kyiv faced a drone attack on Tuesday morning, highlighting the ongoing conflict dynamics and the urgent need for robust air defense systems.
