The overnight drone attack on Konotop, a northern Ukrainian town, resulted in significant damage to energy infrastructure, injuring at least 14 and cutting off electricity.
Regional prosecutors revealed that the attack damaged not just power systems but also seven apartment buildings, medical and educational facilities, exacerbating an already dire situation.
Mayor Artem Semenikhin indicated the challenge of restoring power, stating, 'At the moment, energy workers are doing everything they can to provide electricity to the hospital and water supply systems.'
The recent strike is part of a broader Russian operation involving 64 drones, during which 44 of them were shot down across nine regions, showcasing the ongoing conflict.
