When Russia invaded Ukraine two years ago, Tung Nguyen drove his parents from their home to the border with Poland and then returned to volunteer and fight in the Ukrainian army.
Nguyen, a fitness trainer and Ukrainian citizen, describes Ukraine as his homeland and has endured injuries in combat but continues to fight for the country.
The Vietnamese community in Ukraine, including Nguyen, has shown solidarity and unity during the conflict, with some members actively contributing to the war effort and facing casualties.
